To produce the State of Enterprise Mobility report each year, B2M contracts with an independent 3rd-party market research firm to survey companies that depend on mobile devices and effective mobile device management for their frontline workers.
This research supports the growing importance of Mobile Digital Employee Experience (Mobile DEX) for frontline workers.
This year’s survey was split across enterprises in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain, and focused on two employee groups:
- those in IT in charge of mobility for enterprises
- frontline mobile workers who depend on reliable mobility to do their job
The survey results show the overall level of challenges in providing reliable mobility is higher than in our previous surveys and highlight a growing need to move beyond MDM/EMM with a new set of tools to provide real-time visibility into the health and utilization of mobile devices.
The results also support the growing DEX market and the need for new Mobile DEX software tools to expand DEX to frontline workers.

Key Findings
Some key findings from the 7th Annual Study include:
- 98% of IT leaders recognize how critical reliable mobile technology is for their frontline workforce. See full analysis
- Despite reliability being critical, 8 out of 10 frontline workers experience mobile device, app, or network issues that stop work at least once per month. See full analysis
