Disclosure to third parties

We may share your personal information with members of the B2M group and our third party service providers. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

We may also disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If our company, or substantially all of our assets, are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by us about our customers will be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation; or in order to enforce our Terms of Use; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Protection of Personal Information

We take precautions – including administrative, technical, and physical measures – to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Website by virtue of the unsecure nature of the internet and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
  • Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.
  • Request erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request for erasure and we will give you specific legal reasons if this is the case.
  • Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.
  • Request restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to establish the data’s accuracy; (b) where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it; (c) where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or (d) you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.
  • Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact Director of Sales & Marketing at the address above.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

Ultimately you have the right to complain to your national data protection agency regarding any perceived non-compliance that cannot be resolved between us.

We collect usage details about our customer’s end users only as necessary for support or to provide the Services requested by our customers, in which case we are a data processor or sub-processor of such data. The information is only processed to provide the service requested by the customer.

All permissions required to collect technical information at the customer’s device (if any) are controlled and managed by the customer during deployment of the agent using a suitable MDM/EMM platform.

Collection and Usage of Device Identifiers:

Device Identifiers (Serial Number, IMEI, IMSI & MAC Address) are collected where available and will be securely stored on B2Ms servers to enable our customer’s to uniquely identify a specific device in their estate. Such stored information will never be shared with any third party or with other applications unless permission is explicitly granted by the customer.

Collection and Usage of Location Data:

Location data will be collected if requested by the customer, provided that location services are enabled on the device.
When a customer enables the collection of location-based information, we collect such location data for purposes including, but not limited to, location tracking, geo-fencing and determining the quality of mobile signal coverage. The agent will collect location data even when the application is running in the background.

Location data will be securely stored on B2Ms servers and is never shared with any third party or with other applications unless permission is explicitly granted by the customer.

Installed Application data will be collected if requested by the customer. Installed Application data includes the names of the installed applications, sizes, versions, application utilisation and data usage. This information will be available even when the application is not actively in use.
Installed Application data will be securely stored on B2Ms servers and is never shared with any third party or with other applications unless permission is explicitly granted by the customer.

We collect this data to perform operations such as reporting the mobile network signal quality received at various times of the day on a particular device, or for building coverage maps that show our customers where mobile performance is good, average or poor in the geographical areas in which end customer devices operate within.

We use Wi-Fi connectivity information to detect when a device has been seen in a location that is not the normal place in which the device is expected to be located. This enables our customers to help track devices that have been reported missing or lost, for example if a device has been accidentally removed to a different location within the organisation.

Network Information data will be securely stored on B2Ms servers and is never shared with any third party or with other applications unless permission is explicitly granted by the customer.

Collection and Usage of Battery Data:

Battery data will be collected if requested by the customer. Battery data includes (where available) the serial number, part number, health, capacity, manufacturer, manufacture date, temperature and other information as appropriate for our customer’s needs.

This information is used to enable our customers to make informed decisions regarding the health of either an individual battery or all the batteries in the estate. These decisions can positively impact productivity (by determining which batteries need to be replaced to enable the device user to properly perform their role) as well as to positively contribute to sustainability initiatives and targets (by ensuring that batteries in a good state of health are not replaced prematurely).
